Here are some great resoureces for guitar players!
The internet is full of great resources for guitar players, but it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, just type in guitar lessons in Google and you will see the hundereds of thousands of websites offering free lessons. Not all of these are good quality and you might find yourself lost at times. Here are links to some sites that I have found to be useful, just click on the logo and you will be taken to the sprective websites (please note, I cannot be held responsible for any claims against any of these 3rd parties, they are simply recommended by me but not endorsed)
Ultimate Guitar
This is probably one of the biggest online resources for guitar tabs and news. If you are looking for a tab then chances are you will find it on this site. When looking for quality tabs check out hte start rating, the more starts a tab has the better quality it should be, also make sure you check out how many votes has been cast for this rating or check out the comments to see if the tab is worth trusting
Interactive Circle of 5ths
If you need to transpose your song to a different key or if you want to compare modes this website is really worth checking out, the circle of fifths is interactive and there is even a whole tutorial that will explain how to transpose music using the circle of fifths
Justin Guitar
This guy really has a bunch of great stuff on his website and best of all, most of it is free! His got from beginner to advanced lessons on the guitar and is a worthwhile source to check out if you want to learn the guitar by yourself
JamPlay
JamPlay is a very cool site to learn how to play the gutiar, they've gots loads of videos and tools and a great variety of styles and music. i've been a member of this site for quite a while and this really is a great addition to normal guitar lessons
Neck Diagrams
If you want to learn scales then this is probably one of the best tools to do it with, you select almost any scale and have positions in the CAGED or 3 notes per string shown on a neck diagram, really cool tool that I use everyday. Probably my favourite program of all time, Guitar Pro 6 allows you to learn in an interactive way from tabs and you can even tab and compose your own songs, this really is an invaluable tool for guitar players! All Tremolo Rock School lessons are available as GPX files
